Lanka Lions Cricket Club – Two Decades of Excellence
Founded in 2000 by the late Mr. Priyantha, Lanka Lions Cricket Club began with passion and dedication, overcoming financial challenges and competing against strong international teams. Over the years, guided by leaders like Mr. Ruwan and Mr. Kavee Karunarathne Raja, the club has grown into a respected institution officially recognized by the Malaysian Ministry of Sports.
Key Achievements:
Champions of major tournaments including the 2016 Co-Operative League, Klang Valley Quadrangular, and 2019 K. Navarathnam Trophy.
Over 28 championship titles, 12 runners-up finishes, and 70+ matches played.
International success in Singapore and Malaysia.
Hosted renowned Sri Lankan players such as Sarath Jayawardena and Thushara Kodikara.
Beyond cricket, the club has become a symbol of unity, organizing annual tournaments that have raised over RM 250,000, reflecting strong community trust and support.
